About The Position

The HR Generalist administers core HR functions, ensures multi-state compliance, maintains HR systems and data integrity, and supports firm-wide engagement and talent initiatives. This role partners closely with leadership to promote a positive workplace culture, ensure consistent HR practices, and support retention and growth strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 0-5 years related experience, preferably in a generalist capacity
  • Experience with HRIS and performance management systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers on policies, procedures, benefits, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states
  • Draft, update, and implement HR policies; monitor regulatory changes and communicate firm-wide
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of HRIS and performance management systems; serve as subject-matter expert for data entry, reporting, audits, and troubleshooting
  • Support annual performance review cycles and ongoing performance management processes
  • Lead engagement initiatives including stay and exit interviews; analyze feedback to provide actionable recommendations on culture, engagement, and retention
  • Partner with leadership to enhance employee experience
  • Prepare termination documentation, final pay requirements, benefits notifications, and offboarding communications; coordinate equipment returns
  • Conduct required government reporting (EEO and other applicable filings) ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead the firm's intern program including planning, interviewing, onboarding, and partnering with managers to ensure a consistent, engaging experience
  • Lead the firm’s university recruitment efforts including partnerships with key colleges and universities
  • Interview and evaluate candidates for entry-level roles (Interns, Client Service Associates, Administrative Assistants), partner with TA on recruiting efforts
