Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is seeking a self-directed Human Resources Intern with a passion for talent development, employee engagement, and HR operations. In this role, the intern will actively support the HR Business Partner team by assisting with employee relations activities, contributing to engagement initiatives, maintaining HR records, and supporting projects that align with key business priorities. This internship provides hands-on experience across strategic HR functions while advancing organizational goals and supporting your professional growth.

Requirements

  • Requires High School Diploma
  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication to effectively communicate with employees of all levels
  • Superior interpersonal, influencing and persuasion skills as well as excellent relationship building skills
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and to navigate relationships and time constrains effectively.
  • Strong orientation to technology and excellent PC skills. (MS Office)
  • Self-directed and motivated

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all internship activities and events scheduled during normal business hours
  • Assist with research, planning, and implementation of strategic corporate initiatives related to HRBP efforts
  • Support the development and implementation of new resources and trainings with members of the team
  • Contribute innovative ideas and share best practices relevant to HR
  • Assist in performance management, talent development and employee relations processes
