The Human Resources Manager provides hands-on HR leadership and operational support to DAWN staff, ensuring compliance with employment laws, strengthening workplace systems, and fostering a respectful and professional organizational culture. This role supports the full employee lifecycle, including navigating leave requests, participating in disciplinary processes, assisting with annual performance evaluations, reviewing and updating personnel policies and handbooks, and leading workplace trainings where time allows. The HR Manager serves as a neutral and trusted resource, balancing the needs of management and all staff while grounding decisions in DAWN’s policies, procedures, and organizational values. This position navigates employee grievances and workplace concerns through an objective, policy-centered approach, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally sound application of agency standards. By maintaining neutrality and focusing on what best supports the agency as a whole, the HR Manager promotes accountability, transparency, and a healthy, mission-aligned work environment. HR Manager handles day-to-day employee relations; ED makes final decisions on terminations and policy exceptions/changes. HR Manager supports both management and staff as it relates to HR matters.
