About The Position

As HR Manager at UNICEF, you will play a pivotal role in aligning human resource strategies with organizational objectives, enabling UNICEF to deliver on its mission to protect and advance child rights globally. You will anticipate HR needs, craft innovative solutions, and drive excellence in human resource management to support UNICEF's work in fostering equity and inclusion for children, particularly the most disadvantaged.

Requirements

  • Education: Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, International Business Relations, Psychology and any other related fields.
  • Work Experience: 8 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources, International Governmental Organization , United Nations, Leadership, Organizational development, Change Management, HR partnering, HR policies, HR Information technology, Supervision of team and any other related fields.
  • Skills: Leadership, Supervision of team, Organizational development, Change management , HR policies and models, HR information technology systems
  • Language Requirements: English - Proficient/Fluent

Nice To Haves

  • Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language
  • International experience
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Unit Management: Lead a team of HR professionals, establish priorities, and monitor performance to deliver impactful results aligned with UNICEF’s objectives.
  • Strategic HR Partnering: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, offering guidance on talent acquisition, retention, and development while advancing diversity and gender equity goals.
  • Policy & Technical Expertise: Develop and implement HR policies, interpret complex cases, and recommend forward-thinking solutions to address organizational needs.
  • Learning & Capacity Building: Design and deliver training programs, map competencies, and foster a culture of growth and innovation.
  • HR Analytics: Leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making and improve HR systems and processes.
