About The Position

The HR Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruiting across MEI Group’s Buy Here Pay Here dealerships and Corporate operations. This role focuses on recruiting high-volume positions, including sales representatives, automotive technicians, and collections staff, while partnering closely with hiring managers to meet staffing needs. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Prior Buy Here Pay Here recruiting experience is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in automotive, finance, or Buy Here Pay Here environments
  • Proven experience recruiting sales, automotive technicians, and collections roles
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written) — required
  • Knowledge of employment laws, hiring best practices, and compliance standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ATS/HRIS systems (Paycom preferred)
  • Strong interviewing, assessment, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for dealership and corporate roles, including sales representatives, technicians, and collections personnel
  • Develop and post job advertisements across multiple platforms to attract qualified candidates
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone and in-person interviews, and evaluate candidate qualifications
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and provide candidate recommendations
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process in both English and Spanish
  • Initiate and track pre-employment requirements, including background checks and onboarding documentation
  • Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for high-volume and hard-to-fill roles
  • Partner with HR and operations leadership to understand staffing needs and workforce planning
  • Track recruiting metrics and maintain accurate applicant data in the ATS
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws throughout the recruiting process
  • Represent MEI Group professionally at job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
