About The Position

The HR Representative position is responsible for aligning, supporting and communicating business objectives with employee owners and management in designated business units. The position is a key partner to deliver value-added service to our leaders and employee owners. This position is responsible for engaging our employee owners and being a role model of the core values of the business.

  • Engage in regular, consistent attendance.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience, or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience required

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with management and employee owners to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Perform employee relations functions including support and counseling regarding personnel and job-related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review and assessment of disciplinary requests.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Maintain employee records, current and terminated including, but not limited to, personnel data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, transfers, promotions, performance reviews, evaluations, and terminations.
  • Recommend and implement recruitment strategies to include managing internal/external job postings, applicant tracking, social media and job advertisements, selective participation in college recruiting and career fairs, development of recruiting materials, etc.
  • Manage new hire requirements, onboarding processes, and employee orientation.
  • Assist with development, tracking and implementation of employee training programs.
  • Assist with development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, job descriptions and employee handbooks.
  • Assist with company policy acknowledgements.
  • Ensure all proper documentation is filed appropriately.
  • Respond to unemployment claims.
  • Additional HR functions as required.
