About The Position

Are you a detail-oriented, people-focused student exploring a career in Human Resources? The JCC is seeking a Human Resources Intern to support our summer hiring and onboarding process. This role provides hands-on experience in recruitment operations, onboarding administration, and HR systems management within a fast-paced camp environment. The HR Intern will work closely with the Human Resources Generalist and HR team to support seasonal hiring efforts and ensure a smooth and compliant onboarding experience for summer staff. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical HR experience while developing professional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

High school diploma required
Currently enrolled in a college or university program (Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of organization and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Professional judgment and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working with diverse teams and stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability and willingness to learn new software systems quickly
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Responsibilities

Support the end-to-end onboarding process for seasonal employees, including distributing, tracking, reviewing, and organizing new hire documentation (digital and in-person forms).
Monitor completion of required onboarding paperwork and follow up with staff regarding outstanding items.
Enter and maintain accurate employee data within HRIS and camp management systems.
Assist with recruitment-related administrative tasks as needed.
Provide responsive and professional communication to seasonal staff, camp directors, and internal departments.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
Support additional HR projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
