BHCC NURSING - Human Service Tech PT
About The Position
Legacy Behavioral Health is hiring individuals with a passion for making a difference in their community! We are seeking Human Service Technicians (HST) to work in our Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC) in Valdosta, Georgia. Under the direct supervision of the BHCC Nurse Manager, HSTs provides services to consumers with a MH, SA or Dual Diagnosis in a 24/7 residential crisis center. HSTs provide training and education on daily living skills and necessary housekeeping duties. Assists with admissions/discharge or transfer process in accordance with policies of facility and unit guidelines/expectations. Monitors and documents consumer progress in treatment using the designated format and within established time frames. Computer knowledge and extensive documentation is required. Incumbents must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED; required
- Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license
- Must be CPR and First Aid certified or able to pass a certification test after training
- Must have the physical ability to perform CPR
- Knowledge of body mechanics and the ability to safely move or transport persons being cared for; some of whom are obese
- Demonstrates excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
Nice To Haves
- Associates degree in a relevant health or social service field, preferred
- Behavioral health experience preferred
- Computer experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; preferred
