Daily Pay with Cashback RewardsFree Meal Daily During the School YearBenefitsPaid PTO & Holidays The Budd Group has an IMMEDIATE opening for a HVAC Technician in beautiful Rome, GA: Job Description Reports to: Operations or Account Manager Department: Facility Management Operations FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE The HVAC Technician I is responsible for providing HVAC services with specific responsibility of repair and/or identifying equipment replacement needs; in installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading HVAC systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades and ensuring that tools and materials are available at the job site. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS On-call rotation for 24/7 client support. Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems. Conduct regular building tours, inspections, identifying needs and executing corrective action and/or coordinating with management and outside contractors. Performing preventive maintenance on equipment Possess the ability to be able to work independently and as a team member Workdays and schedules are generally routine, however are subject to change. Be prepared/available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers. Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues, and filling out and submitting monthly vehicle inspection form. Following all safety requirements including Lockout/Tagout and use of appropriate PPE Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle. Keeping appropriate records, including the Refrigerant Inventory and Usage Report Document all installed equipment: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary. Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain fully to management what the issue is and what is needed to correct. Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies. Identify and report to management potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services). Requires flexibility and understanding that all maintenance staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Facility Services Department. OT may be required without notice to complete work assigned – time off may be offered or required within the same pay period to meet budget demands. Receive and complete work orders while maintaining accurate records on material and labor.
