About The Position

Hyperscale Program Manager – Mission Critical Infrastructure Amentum’s Digital Infrastructure Group has been at the forefront of creating a new generation of communication infrastructure for over 40 years. We specialize in everything from network development to complete telecom life cycle solutions, datacenter retrofits and modernization, to full datacenter buildouts. While these critical environments are ever changing, the demand for innovative technology and long-term support remains constant. These services include design, construction, updates, and maintenance of new and existing datacenter facilities. Responsibilities Take personal responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment and champion our safety program to build a culture of care and concern within the organization. Manage projects assigned in the Mid-Atlantic Region or nationally. Develop goals, milestones, priorities, metrics, and execution plans. Serve as SME for coordination and implementation of the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEP) on national projects from design coordination through completion and close out. Lead the Projects and MEP function nationally. Establish departmental goals and objectives. Deliver on financial goals, budget, and financial results in alignment with regional and national standards. Engage in continuous improvement of processes, tools, and training. Ensure project resources levels are in in alignment with performance standards and budget. Coordinate projects to ensure appropriate subcontractors’ and client performance and communication. Analyze and report financial performance of individual projects. Research and assess market trends and identify strategies for adding value to clients in the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing areas. Collaborate with and provide guidance to the broader team, Project Managers, and Superintendents and field teams. Ensure client satisfaction (owners, design teams, subcontractors). Build and facilitate a team environment that fosters self-development, innovation, collaboration, and high-performance standards across all team members. Support and Conduct preconstruction activities as required for project pursuits Manage the review of project plans for constructability and cost feasibility; Value Engineering, and complete project risk assessments.

Requirements

  • History of progressively more complex and in-depth experience with proven results in MEP including:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
  • Senior Manager level requires 8+ years of MEP and commercial construction experience including 5+ years of design or project management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to identify talent, create and develop teams, and build trust and engagement.
  • Capability to identify and capitalize on opportunities quickly; ability to maintain effective balance between strategic and tactical priorities.
  • Experience in driving accountability for financial and operational effectiveness, integrating and aligning efforts across department, monitoring results and tackling problems directly.
  • Ability to cultivate and grow lasting business relationships both internally and externally; able to negotiate and communicate complex concepts/business issues to a variety of audiences and have a proven track record of developing new business through an established network of relationships in the industry.
  • Ability to drive to the core of complex issues and provide insightful and constructive feedback.
  • Must be able to work for any US employer without current or future visa sponsorship.
