Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in import sourcing, sourcing, or procurement
  • Ability to use logic and innovative methods to solve problems and identify effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - including lookups, data sourcing, formatting, pivot tables

Nice To Haves

  • Mandarin Chinese speaking experience is a big plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with suppliers, negotiate delivery dates, and address any inquiries or issues related to product sourcing and importation.
  • Create, track, and manage purchase orders from initial placement to final delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Review all import documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork, to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate with Global Trade Compliance on all HTS classifications on import items.
  • Clearly communicate and coordinate with freight carriers, purchasing teams, and warehouse operations to track purchase orders to the final destination.
  • Audit freight bills to ensure proper charges per negotiated contracts.
  • Provide accounts payable with accurate documents for overseas payment to suppliers.
  • Maintain all spec sheets for imported items.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to shipment delays, quality concerns, or discrepancies
