Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred
3+ years of experience in import sourcing, sourcing, or procurement
Ability to use logic and innovative methods to solve problems and identify effective solutions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - including lookups, data sourcing, formatting, pivot tables

Nice To Haves

Mandarin Chinese speaking experience is a big plus

Responsibilities

Collaborate with suppliers, negotiate delivery dates, and address any inquiries or issues related to product sourcing and importation.
Create, track, and manage purchase orders from initial placement to final delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
Review all import documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork, to ensure compliance with regulations.
Coordinate with Global Trade Compliance on all HTS classifications on import items.
Clearly communicate and coordinate with freight carriers, purchasing teams, and warehouse operations to track purchase orders to the final destination.
Audit freight bills to ensure proper charges per negotiated contracts.
Provide accounts payable with accurate documents for overseas payment to suppliers.
Maintain all spec sheets for imported items.
Address and resolve any issues related to shipment delays, quality concerns, or discrepancies
