About The Position

We are seeking an In-House Commercial and Business Attorney to support the company’s legal needs across commercial contracting, corporate governance, and strategic business initiatives. This role partners closely with business teams to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice while helping the company manage risk and achieve its commercial objectives.

Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (or relevant jurisdiction)
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial and business law (in-house experience strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial agreements
  • Strong understanding of corporate law and business operations

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, supplier, licensing, property, and partnership agreements
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to internal stakeholders on day-to-day business operations and strategic initiatives
  • Maintain strong ties with the Group Head of Legal and wider central legal function to build close, day-to-day working relationships to ensure consistent legal advice, governance, and policy implementation across the group
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions, as required
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risk across the organization
  • Advise on regulatory and compliance matters affecting the business
  • Collaborate with finance, commercial, , HR, operations and executive leadership teams
  • Manage relationships with and oversee external counsel when needed
  • Assist with dispute resolution and litigation management, as applicable
  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions whilst at work.
  • Fully versed in International Aviation Safety and Security standards and passionate about promoting them within the organization.
  • Co-operate with their manager / supervisor to allow them to perform or comply with any legal requirements imposed on the company.
  • Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, safety, or welfare reasons.
  • Inform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger to health and safety.
  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in this manual.
  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
  • Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
