About The Position

The In Room Dining Server is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of in-room amenities. They coordinate with the front desk to confirm check-in times, ensuring seamless service for guests and VIPs. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to meeting guest needs. All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resort policies, practices and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of server experience
  • Experience handling payments and a point-of-sale system.
  • ServSafe Certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • TIPS Certification or equivalent is preferred
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent customer service skills, over the phone and in person
  • Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to all grooming and uniform guidelines, including slip resistant shoes.
  • Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively, in English.
  • Proficiency required in reading, writing, and mathematics, in English.
  • Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others.
  • Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgement when dealing with customers and peers

Responsibilities

  • Promptly deliver in-room amenities to guests and VIPs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere.
  • Answer guest inquiries and provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding food and beverage options.
  • Observe and anticipate guest needs, responding promptly to special requests.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the restaurant menu, including ingredients, flavor profiles, portion sizes, and preparation methods.
  • Efficiently process point-of-sale transactions as needed.
  • Stay informed about daily specials, menu changes, and beverage offerings, including liquor, beer, and wine selections.
  • Utilize expert upselling techniques to enhance guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment.
  • Provide support to other areas of Food & Beverage operations as needed, including seating guests, answering phones, and stocking supplies.
  • Assist with general cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and completing assigned side work.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety and liquor laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
