About The Position

The Inbound Receiver is responsible for all merchandise unloaded inside the Distribution Center. S/he must make sure that the load comes in the appropriate temperature and accordantly with Cardenas Markets Receiving Policy. The Inbound Receiver is also in charge of capturing the attributes for every pallet on the DC system and labeling them accordingly.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year(s) of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Teamwork oriented and self-motivated.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to use a computer.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Good attendance and punctual; must show up on time and able to work scheduled shifts and mandatory overtime.
• Must be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24-hour production facility. Schedule may include weekends and overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Electric pallet jack and reach experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure trailer is under safe and clean condition before unloading.
• Confirm all purchase orders (POs) are received according to their schedule and with the proper bill of lading (BOL).
• Make sure the quantity matches the BOL and physically correct BOL if needed.
• Make sure all staged products pass by Quality Control department before BOL sign-in.
• Ensure all Labels print out are placed to the right corner of the corresponding pallet.
• Send all BOLs received to DC office in a timely manner.
• Report via email any PO received after receiving hours and/or without appointment.
• Notify Buyers regarding any rejected PO.
• Make sure the workstation and department are clean before end of shift.
