About The Position

Step into a Day in the Life At Process Equipment and Controls, you begin your shift by reviewing blueprints, planning your steps, and gearing up with PPE and a respirator when required. Your day might include aligning a gearbox, installing process equipment, or laying precise TIG and MIG welds to bring new machinery online. You work independently at times and side-by-side with teammates at others, always following a logical, data-driven approach to troubleshooting and decision-making. Some weeks include travel to customer sites to complete installations, maintenance, and urgent repairs.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of mechanical or millwright experience in an industrial setting
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery assembly methods
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites during the workweek when needed
  • Willingness to work overtime to meet project demands
  • Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and climb; work in tiring or uncomfortable positions
  • Ability to frequently handle, lift, carry, and set up parts and equipment up to 50 lbs

  • CNC tooling familiarity
  • Mechanical troubleshooting proficiency
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
  • Mechanical testing experience
  • Machine safety inspections
  • Blueprint reading

Responsibilities

  • Install, move, assemble, and align industrial machinery and equipment
  • Perform maintenance and repair on process equipment, valves, and gearboxes
  • Execute TIG, MIG, and arc welding tasks to spec
  • Use step-by-step, quantifiable procedures to plan work and solve problems
  • Diagnose mechanical and technical issues both solo and collaboratively
  • Champion safe work practices and environmental awareness at all times
  • Wear and maintain PPE, including respirators, as required for certain tasks
  • Travel out of town for projects as needed; work overtime when necessary
