About The Position

The Bureau of Maternal Child and Family Health performs data entry of Universal Newborn Hearing Screenings (UNHS) reports from hospitals and birthing centers. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail oriented and interested in supporting health programs through data and administrative work. Duties include: Enter and verify program data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Review reports from hospitals and birthing centers and update records as needed. Identify and resolve data discrepancies with program staff and reporting facilities. Maintain and update program databases and electronic records. Generate and distribute reports to support program monitoring and quality assurance. Assist with data reviews and basic record storage and retrieval. Organize and maintain paper and electronic files and documentation. Provide clerical support including filing, copying and document preparation. Support Infant Hearing Program staff with administrative tasks and special projects. Maintain confidentiality and follow data security and privacy requirements.

Requirements

  • Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary AND 6 mos trg. or 6 mos. exp. in use of data entry equipment.
  • 4 mos. exp. as Data Entry Operator 1, 12331.
  • Equivalent Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

  • Official educational transcripts are required for all post-high school educational accomplishments, coursework or degrees claimed on the application.
