About The Position

We are currently hiring a Information Technology Project & Agile Support Co-op in Boston MA. This is a 6-month co-op, running from July – December 2026. We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented co-op to support our IT Applications team across Agile/SCRUM delivery, project management coordination, and business prioritization. You’ll help keep work flowing—ensuring boards are clean, SCRUM meetings run smoothly, stakeholders are informed, and prioritization is consistent. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply classroom concepts, learn enterprise tools, and contribute measurable impact.

Requirements

  • Strong organization and attention to detail; able to keep boards and documentation current.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; concise meeting notes and stakeholder-ready summaries.
  • Analytical thinking; comfortable interpreting trends and metrics.
  • Familiarity with Agile tooling (e.g., Jira) and documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel for matrices/dashboards; PowerPoint for updates; Word for logs/templates).
  • Understanding of Agile & SCRUM concepts (sprints, ceremonies, backlog grooming, user stories, acceptance criteria).
  • Collaboration across IT and business stakeholders; reliable follow-through.
  • Time management and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Proactive mindset: spots blockers early and suggests improvements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data analysis or simple dashboards.
  • Exposure to risk/issue management.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems and business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily stand-ups: take notes, track action items, and update team boards (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Update backlog items: refine user stories, add acceptance criteria, and ensure tasks are documented.
  • Prepare for sprint planning: organize backlog items, gather stakeholder requirements, and compile pre-read reports.
  • Monitor sprint health: track and publish burndown charts and sprint progress metrics.
  • Maintain IT application project documentation: plans, meeting minutes, and decision logs.
  • Prepare weekly or biweekly status reports for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Log and track risks/issues; follow up on mitigation actions with owners.
  • Coordinate resources: schedule meetings, manage calendars, and ensure dependencies are visible and tracked.
  • Assist with determination of business value through IT development.
  • Collect inputs from business units on priorities and requirements.
  • Assist in creating/updating prioritization matrices (value/effort/risk) to rank requests.
  • Analyze historical data to identify patterns in requests and backlog items.
  • Draft concise summaries and presentations for prioritization meetings.
  • Shadow Application and Product Managers.
  • Learn Agile principles and project management methodologies.
  • Gain exposure to IT systems and business processes.
