About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and driven Inside Parts Sales Manager to lead our Parts Counter Team at our Truck and Bus dealership in Hyattsville, MD . This role is responsible for overseeing all inside parts sales counter operations , including front counter (retail/walk-in), back counter (service technicians), and internal sales support. The ideal candidate has strong heavy-duty truck or bus parts experience, proven leadership ability, and a track record of driving parts revenue and gross profit.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of heavy-duty truck, bus, or commercial vehicle parts experience
  • Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck components and systems
  • Experience with dealership management systems (DMS)
  • Proven ability to drive sales and manage team performance
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior counter sales leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the inside parts sales counter team (front and back counter)
  • Supervise daily counter operations to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Coach, train, and develop counter sales staff
  • Drive retail, wholesale, and internal parts sales performance
  • Monitor and improve gross profit margins and departmental KPIs
  • Ensure timely parts support to the Service Department
  • Resolve escalated customer or technician issues
  • Oversee order accuracy, pricing integrity, and inventory coordination
  • Collaborate with the Parts Manager on inventory strategy and department growth
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and high-performing counter environment
