About The Position

The Junior Instructional Designer supports the creation and maintenance of training content across both instructor‑led (ILT) and eLearning environments. Working closely with sr and staff instructional designers, this role contributes to updates, multimedia preparation, course testing, and documentation management. This is a hands‑on, collaborative position suited for someone eager to learn, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced training operations environment.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with: Narration/voiceover tools
  • Articulate 360, Storyline, or similar authoring tools
  • Adobe Creative Cloud or comparable multimedia software
  • Organization & Time Management: Able to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a busy training environment.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Shares ideas clearly, listens well, and works effectively with others.
  • Initiative & Follow‑Through: Takes ownership of assigned tasks and completes them accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
  • Experience with tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud, Vyond, WellSaid, or other multimedia solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Update and refine PowerPoint presentations for ILT and virtual training.
  • Assist with recording, editing, and integrating narration/voiceover for eLearning or presentation content.
  • Contribute to the creation of facilitator guides, job aids, storyboards, and basic eLearning assets.
  • Ensure all materials meet branding, formatting, template, and accessibility standards.
  • Apply foundational instructional design models and adult learning principles under guidance from sr designers.
  • Help align course content to learning objectives and design guidelines.
  • Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from sr designers, subject matter resources (SMRs), and other stakeholders.
  • Test eLearning courses in staging and production environments to confirm proper functionality.
  • Maintain course files, assets, and documentation in SharePoint.
  • Support version control, update cycles, and publishing workflows.
  • Keep documentation organized, current, and aligned with governance processes.
  • Manage project timelines and updates using tools such as Monday.com.
  • Support sr designers with project tasks, tracking, and deliverables (e.g., note-taking, feedback documentation, scheduling review meetings).
  • Communicate effectively with team members, instructors, and SMRs.
  • Research and compile reference materials or best practices in learning technologies and multimedia.
