About The Position

The Integration & Automation Engineer plays a key role in the build, support, and delivery of integrations and workflow automations across Aztec’s private markets technology ecosystem. The role is critical to Aztec’s drive for automation, straight-through processing, and scalable client data exchange. This role requires strong technical capability with modern integration and automation tools, including C#/.NET, SQL, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, MuleSoft, Power Platform, and Alteryx. It is well-suited to someone with proven hands-on development experience who can work independently on smaller-scale integrations and contribute to larger programmes under senior engineer guidance. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and architects to build your technical expertise, exposure to enterprise integration patterns, and understanding of private markets technology ecosystems (e.g. eFront, Yardi, Investran).

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in integration, software development, or automation roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • MuleSoft certification (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1).
  • Hands-on experience with: C#/.NET SQL Server and T-SQL SSIS or equivalent ETL tools Azure Data Factory or similar cloud data integration tools Git for version control
  • Exposure to MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API Manager, Studio, reusable assets).
  • Practical knowledge of REST APIs and working with JSON/XML.
  • Ability to design, deliver, and support small-to-medium integration and automation solutions independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automation in Power Automate, Logic Apps, or Alteryx.
  • Familiarity with client data exchange platforms (GoConnect, Atlas) and data sharing standards (SFTP, DDS).
  • Knowledge of private markets systems such as eFront, Yardi, Investran, Accelex, Quantios/TrustQuay, Workiva, or Anaplan.
  • Backend database knowledge of eFront Invest a plus.
  • Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) and security standards is beneficial.
  • Certifications in relevant tools, platforms, or cloud services (e.g., Azure, API/middleware platforms) are an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Integration Development Build, test, and support integrations using C#/.NET, SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and MuleSoft.
  • Develop and maintain APIs and reusable integration components under established patterns.
  • Support the delivery of client data exchanges via SFTP, Databricks DDS, Snowflake, GoConnect, Atlas, and API-based data pipelines.
  • Automation & Workflow Deliver workflow automations using tools such as Power Automate, Logic Apps, and Alteryx to reduce manual processes.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by developing scripts or micro-automations.
  • Document automation routines and provide support to operational teams adopting them.
  • Operational Support Monitor and support integrations and automations in production, resolving incidents where possible and escalating where required.
  • Maintain technical documentation for interfaces, mappings, and workflows.
  • Ensure solutions comply with Aztec’s security and change control standards.
  • Collaboration Work closely with senior integration engineers and solution architects to align build with integration patterns and best practice.
  • Collaborate with application owners, reporting teams, and data engineers to support end-to-end workflows.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide technical input.
