About The Position

Our Interior Design Studio works seamlessly with our architects and teams to create spaces that are cohesive, designed with intention and purpose, human-centered from the inside out. As an Interior Designer, this position will support the development and execution of interior design projects from concept through completion. This position requires a strong balance of creativity, technical proficiency, and project coordination skills.

Requirements

  • Proficient and comfortable to use software to include Autodesk – CADD & Revit, Adobe Suite – InDesign, Photoshop, and basic Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with FF&E spec writing softwares, proficiency preferred.
  • Comfortability with AI and other software for implementation to design and processes.
  • Ability to remain organized and manage multiple deadlines, project deliverables, and project teams.
  • Maintains an understanding of project delivery, construction codes, construction documents, and processes.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, thoroughly completing drawings and specifications.
  • Able to effectively manage your time and project deliverables.
  • Ability to listen and to take direction from Principals and/or the Project Manager.
  • Implements direction by taking action or provide effective instruction to teams for project workflow.
  • Clearly communicates with team members or consultants, while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrates strong drive and motivation to excel in all work tasks and responsibilities.
  • Adapts quickly to changing project needs with flexibility and a positive attitude, while showing an interest in mentoring and supporting younger staff.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • A minimum of 7 years of diverse work experience in the field of commercial interior design

Nice To Haves

  • Preferrable to have experience in hospitality project sector
  • Preferrable to have experience in commercial and healthcare sector
  • NCIDQ certified preferred

Responsibilities

  • Able to work collaboratively as a multidisciplinary design team with architects, consultants, vendors, and clients.
  • Prepare, support, and/or manage project deliverables including but not limited to: concept design packages, renderings, drawings of all stages of design and construction.
  • Prepare, support and/or manage selection of FF&E, artwork direction, custom millwork and furnishings, drawings, and FF&E specification packages for procurement.
  • Ability to develop and steer design direction on custom elements, including but not limited to: millwork, FF&E, wallcovering, rugs and carpet, artwork and decorative elements.
  • Participation in client, consultant and/or internal design meetings and presentations.
  • Ability to work on all phases of design from concept through completion.
  • Can manage multiple projects of different project types simultaneously.
  • Ability to drive development of color and materials palette, design statements, mood boards, renderings and other visuals for presentation purposes.
  • Provide mentorship to younger design staff.
  • Displays knowledge and foundation on materiality and products to meet project needs.
  • Continue development of product knowledge and global trends. Keep up to date with products by attending manufacturer representative meetings, lunch and learns, conferences, vendor events, and have an ability to keep up on world-wide global design trends and projects.
  • Support management of materials library and general upkeep of studio resources.
