About The Position

Labcorp is seeking an Aviation Intern to join our Specimen & Corporate Flight Operations team at the Labcorp Aviation Facility located at the Burlington Alamance Regional Airport in Burlington, NC. This onsite internship provides hands-on exposure to corporate and specimen aviation operations in a safety-focused, highly regulated environment. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday / 40hrs per week (Onsite Position) We are seeking an Aviation Intern to have the opportunity to work in various areas of the aviation program. You may work with: Flight Operations Specialist, Aviation Department Analyst, Maintenance analytics, Maintenance planning, Pilot and flight scheduling, Line Service and fuel usage and tracking and you will also work with our aviation Safety Management System. Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program
  • Interest in Aviation Management, Air Transportation, or Safety Management Systems
  • 1 month plus experience of exceptional customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing operational situations while maintaining composure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Comfortable interacting with leadership and frontline personnel
  • Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information appropriately

Responsibilities

  • Support daily flight scheduling and operational tracking using aviation software systems
  • Partner with Flight Operations Specialists and Aviation Analysts to support daily operations
  • Assist with preparation of passenger itineraries and coordination of travel logistics
  • Partner with Aviation Maintenance Leadership to help coordinate aircraft maintenance scheduling and review maintenance analytics
  • Support active flight monitoring and irregular operations such as weather deviations or maintenance events
  • Contribute to Irregular Operations reporting and specimen flight performance analytics
  • Assist with safety initiatives and preparation for the annual IS-BAO audit
