About The Position

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an Intern to support home athletic event planning and management during events. Works with game day management to monitor parking lots and staff and ensure everything is in working order for game day events as well as non-game day events hosted at the Athletic Association’s facilities. Monitors weather for athletic events. Assists with facility maintenance inspections, security, set up and tear down and day-to-day management. This position requires the incumbent to live on-site in housing provided by the UAA; regularly life 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds; be detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills; multitask effectively; engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds; and work a non-standard work week which will include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays, and potential overnight travel. This is a time-limited position with an option for a second year if essential criteria is met. This posting will remain open until a qualified candidate is chosen. This position has an anticipated start date in June 2026.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate area of specialization
  • live on-site in housing provided by the UAA
