About The Position

The Intern / Junior System Administrator will support the Systems Administration team by assisting with PrismHR and related HRIS cleanup initiatives. This role focuses on improving data accuracy, organization, and consistency across HR and payroll systems through structured cleanup projects and documentation. The intern will gain hands-on experience working within a live HRIS environment while supporting foundational operational work critical to system stability and compliance.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of HRIS, enterprise systems, or database driven applications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including:
  • Sorting, filtering and formatting large data sets
  • Basic formulas (e.g., SUM, IF, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred but not required)
  • Strong attention to detail; comfortable working with repetitive or cleanup-focused tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, documented procedures and maintain clear, organized notes as well as asking questions when needed.

  • Ability to walk throughout the office, including moving between different departments or meeting rooms.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and via phone or video conferencing.
  • Ability to focus and maintain attention for long periods while working on various tasks.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with PrismHR/HRCloud data cleanup projects, including reviewing and validating employee, company, and configuration records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support user access audits by identifying outdated, duplicate, or inactive accounts and documenting findings for remediation.
  • Perform data review and reconciliation tasks using Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of cleanup activities, findings, and recommendations.
  • Support system administrator team with administrative tasks related to system maintenance and organization.
  • Support testing and validation efforts related to cleanup or standardization efforts in HRCloud.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance standards are upheld.
  • Complete other project-based or administrative tasks as assigned.
