About The Position

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Main focus will be on creating a current Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) of the Pine Brook Cooling Water system. Using software such as Solidworks to create the P&ID, project work might include use of Excel or JMP if startistical analysis is required. Individual will be trained on the Pine Brook diagram requirements as part of their internship. Field trace the existing cooling water system and seek guidance from team in identification of the components as needed. Individual will present their work and updated P&ID to management in a 15 minute presentation at the end of term Education & Experience Candidate should at least be a rising sophomore pursuing a BS degree in mechanical or chemical engineering. Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date. Skills & Other Requirements Excellent written and verbal communication. Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed. Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and time management. Experience with P&IDs is a plus. Experience with Solidworks is a plus. Internship Duration: 10 – 14 weeks. ITAR compliance is required for this position. Working Conditions This role will be based on-site in Pine Brook, NJ Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary. Physical Requirements Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings. Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents. Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Position will require expensive time walking the production ground floor to trace the piping through factory. ITAR/EAR and Other Requirements Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual). Compliance with all applicable export control regulations.
