The spirit of DIY and customization runs throughout every element of a Slate, because people should have control over how their trucks look, feel, and represent them. | WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR An applicant looking to join our Vehicle Integration Electrical Engineering Team for the Summer of 2026 An Intern to lead the implementation of coordinating a instrumentation list for Hot Trip for Vehicle Testing Intern will lead the and track the installation of Data acquisition equipment on test vehicles for Hot trip Intern will set up Data acquisition equipment and verify quality data is being acquired and verified Intern will support Hot Trip - this is the hot weather vehicle validation trip Intern will provide a report to the Electrical Engineering team on data accumulated during Hot Trip | WHAT YOU GET TO DO Lead and direct the design, integration, analysis, and testing of components Demonstrate product safety, integrity, and quality physical product development Provide an innovative thinking approach to integrating new technology of physical components along with electrical controllers Assist in development of System Validation on prototype development buck Intern will gain first hand practical experience in using CAN interface tools for component and system validation Intern will be involved in root cause analysis of electrical failures and be involved in the diagnosis and repair of prototype vehicles Intern will learn to use and operate Data acquisition equipment. Intern will be involved in the physical hands-on installation of Data acquisition equipment and setup of equipment for testing. Intern will receive training in High Voltage safety. Intern will have the opportunity to gain experience in working with High Voltage Components and systems Intern will learn to work with other engineers in a team environment Intern will work on maintaining software updates on prototype vehicles Intern will gain experience on Telematics and Networks Intern will Assist in reporting and developing presentation on Electrical Engineering systems and progress | WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM 3rd or 4th year of bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or MBA Genuine interest in learning and gaining hands on experience in Electrical Engineering projects An interest in Automotive Engineering projects and troubleshooting A desire to be a strong team player Experience in SAE, EV Baja or First Robotics clubs a plus, not required WHY JOIN TEAM SLATE? Requirements

  • 3rd or 4th year of bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or MBA
  • Genuine interest in learning and gaining hands on experience in Electrical Engineering projects
  • An interest in Automotive Engineering projects and troubleshooting
  • A desire to be a strong team player

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SAE, EV Baja or First Robotics clubs a plus, not required
