We provide assurance on the financial and operational health of the organization so our leaders can focus on patient care. We are looking for an Internal Audit Intern who is curious, detail-oriented, and ready to see how a major health system operates from the inside out. Why Join Us? You will shadow Senior Auditors on financial and operational reviews, gaining exposure to hospital administration and finance. ● The Capstone Project: You will be assigned a specific project during your time with us, culminating in a final presentation to the team. This is a tangible accomplishment you can put on your resume. ● Mentorship: You will work directly with the Director of Internal Audit and Senior staff, receiving feedback and career guidance. ● Future Opportunities: We view this program as a pipeline. Successful interns gain the experience needed to apply for our Junior Internal Auditor roles in the future. What You Will Do (Your Day-to-Day) No two days are the same, but here is how you can expect to spend your time: ● 40% Project Execution: You will be responsible for a specific audit project or set of tasks, analyzing data and organizing findings. ● 30% Shadowing & Collaboration: You will sit in on meetings with audit stakeholders and work with the team to understand how we interview auditees and identify risks. ● 20% Data & Reporting: You will use Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/BI/ PowerPoint,etc.) to help the team synthesize complex data into clear reports. ● 10% The "Final Report": You will synthesize your key learnings and project outcomes into a brief final presentation for the department leadership.
