About The Position

The Event Operations Intern will support the planning and execution of a variety of events around Universal Orlando Resort. The experience will provide an opportunity to gain knowledge of the event life cycle (ideation to day-of execution, working with partners, and post-event recaps). This role will provide exposure to various leaders and hourly team members to gain knowledge of different aspects of the hospitality/theme-park industry. Intern will learn the importance of cross-departmental relationships, time management, and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • A transcript is required upon application.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2026.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors include: Event Management, Hospitality Management, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Supports operational planning efforts for different range of events that include but are not limited to internal, revenue, marquee, youth, and production.
  • Assists with completing event logistics, tracking department trends and data, and handling post event recaps.
  • Assists with daily administrative responsibilities and complete tasks required during the event planning phases like Team Member follow up, compile information from a prospectus, and create reports to provide to leadership.
  • Participates in management shadows, partner shadows, and project-based work.
  • Collaborates between multiple departments and builds networking skills across the resort.
  • Supports updates to the Playbook site, reviews documents, updates Standard Operating Procedures and creates standardization documents for area of focus when needed.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
