About The Position

Warren County ESC Equal Opportunity Employer Position: Intervention Specialist Location: Wellness Center - Mason OH Start date: August 2026 The WCESC Wellness Center is a school-based day treatment program that provides intensive non-residential programming for students in grades K-12 with social-emotional learning needs, behavioral challenges, and in need of therapeutic support. Students engage in mental health services and social emotional learning for 80% of their day that is provided in conjunction with educational programming in the subject areas of Math and English Language Arts for the remaining 20%. The Wellness Center provides a broad range of additional services through a highly skilled and diverse team of helping professionals. Service delivery is designed to strengthen a student's ability to be Safe, Responsible, and Mindful in the academic setting, to prevent the need for more restrictive services such as home instruction or residential placement in the future, and to help them return to a more academically rigorous and less restrictive environment. We are seeking highly dedicated and supportive individuals who have experience or training in working with individuals who have intensive behavioral needs in a small group environment or classroom setting. Classroom staff are responsible for planning and implementing instruction with students in the areas of self-regulation, social emotional wellness, and coping skills.
