The College of Engineering and Technology offers rewarding opportunities for adjunct faculty to teach part-time, face-to-face instruction at our Phoenix campus. If you are highly motivated and passionate about teaching exceptional quality instruction in modern facilities with smaller class sizes, we’d like to hear from you. GCU Traditional Campus – Phoenix, AZ: Courses are in-person and on-campus for the Fall 2026 Semester (09/08/2026 - 12/13/2026) Course: Introduction to Information Technology This course provides an introduction to the role of computing technology within business and corporate environments. Introductions to concepts, terminologies, and a wide use of relevant daily software and tools relevant to any career in the information technology field. Topics include: Technology-integrated academics, digital networking concepts, systems administration and maintenance, information security, database and transactional systems, cloud technologies, scripting, and project management.

Requirements

  • Masters (or higher) in Information Technology or related field. All instructors must have 2-5 years' experience designing and/or implementing Enterprise server systems in a mid to large size organizations. All instructors must have skills in latest MS Server and Linux Administration, Server Roles, Active Directory management, and the ability to setup/manage/troubleshoot multi-layered architectures.
  • OR- Bachelors (or higher) in Information Technology or related field. All instructors must have 7-10 years' experience designing and/or implementing Enterprise server systems in a mid to large size organization. All instructors must have skills in the latest MS Server and Linux Administration, Server Roles, Active Directory management, and the ability to setup/manage/troubleshoot multi-layered architectures.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to individuals holding current certifications in Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Windows Server.
