About The Position

The Inventory Planner is responsible for building and maintaining inventory stocking programs, incorporating forecast information received by customers based on customer specific agreements. This position leads the inventory planning process related to raw materials and finished good customer stocking programs for all  S&OP Adopted PPC locations. In the event of absence, these job responsibilities will be covered by another employee in the “Director S&OP” positions. Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience in related discipline such as mathematics, business administration or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with business operating systems and knowledge of MRP computing programs with some degree of proficiency.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of S&OP and the inventory planning process.
  • Experience managing internal communications, working cross functionally to deliver results. Ability to participate as a team member with consensus decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of the business affecting the inventory planning process.
  • Detailed in doing required paperwork and computer inputs with a high degree of accuracy. Able to read and write in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of software related to inventory planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales, NAM and as needed Customers to Build documented agreements and communicate Inventory Planning Policies to those impacted.  Use PPC Corporate Guidance and Approvals from Leadership in creation of policies.
  • Act as Onboarding lead for new Customers needing to Establish Supply Chain- Inventory Programs.
  • Maintain customer raw material and finish good stocking programs through safety stock policies in Logility software.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Provide input to Purchasing in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product obsolescence.
  • Frequently Reports on Adherence to Program Policies and Escalates Risks to both underperformance of agreed upon goals or customers outside of established guidelines.
  • Manage overall list of customer Stocked Materials; and communicate timelines for review/adjustments of programs.
  • Coordinates and communicates with all the different departments affected by inventory stocking programs.
  • As an agent of the company, this position is expected to project a professional image and positive attitude while assertively getting the results needed to support a fast-to-market production environment.
  • Develops and maintains a positive/proactive relationship with PPC’s customers, rep/brokers, and other members of Supply Chain and Sales.
  • As a key member of Supply Chain, this position requires a thorough knowledge and understanding of PPC's business and processes.
  • Generates improvement ideas and embraces improvement projects to better the business.
  • Other duties may be assigned and are required as part of the essential functions of the position.
