The Inventory Receiving Associate is responsible for ensuring that all donations and appointments are updated in a timely and accurate manner, while maintaining all Food Bank standard operating procedures (SOPs). This position is scheduled to work Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. Occasional Saturdays and Weekends as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; a minimum of 1 year of related work experience in inventory control, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience using inventory control software is required.
  • Must have, or be able to, obtain forklift certification – training will be provided
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to work independently and to be well organized.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are required
  • Must be able to work well with the public and with peers in a positive and professional way.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Experience using Microsoft office software, Proficient in MS Excel required
  • Must believe in the mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Receives all donations and purchase orders into Ceres (ERP)
  • Transfers orders to branches
  • Assists with operational reports as needed
  • Updates receiving appointments and tracks loads
  • Effectively communicate with commercial carriers/donors about loads
  • Collaborates with Food Sourcing staff to ensure invoices for direct shipments are properly documented Ceres
  • Participates in monthly meetings and trainings as required
  • Assists with cycle counting and count discrepancy investigations. Ensures inventory discrepancies do not exceed 1.5%
  • Provides coverage for the Product & Shopping Coordinators, as needed
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and Food Bank standard operating procedures
  • Aids with continuous improvement of Operations department functions and processes
  • Participates in End-Of-Year inventory activities
  • Perform any other duties as required.
