About The Position

Looking for a company that inspires passion, courage, and creativity – where you can help shape the future of global commerce? At eBay, you’ll be part of a purpose-driven community dedicated to building an ambitious, inclusive environment where integrity and innovation drive everything we do! Do you want to be part of an elite investigative group protecting one of the world’s largest digital marketplaces? The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) within eBay’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) handles some of the most complex and sensitive investigations across the company, ranging from Terrorist Financing and Sanctions Evasion to Large Fraud Rings, Internal Referrals, National Security Matters, and potential CSEM/CSAM – requiring elevated discretion, advanced analytical capability, and strategic judgment. As an Investigator II in the SIU, you will conduct and lead complex, high-impact investigations involving sensitive subject matter and cross-jurisdictional risk. You will identify emerging patterns, assess potential threats, and prepare detailed investigative reports and SARs that meet the highest regulatory standards. The SIU operates in a dynamic environment where procedures are intentionally broad – requiring each investigator to apply their expertise, judgment, and initiative to define scope, drive outcomes, and ensure investigative integrity.
