IT Intern, Infrastructure
About The Position
At SanMar, the work you do makes a difference. What's the Short Version? The IT Infrastructure Intern is responsible for assisting the IT Infrastructure Hosting and Services teams during an 8 week program. What Will You Be Doing? Learn from different infrastructure teams (network, server, telephony, database, and virtual infrastructure) about their roles and impact to the organization. Assist with installation, removal, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure. Help monitor system performance, availability, and backups. Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Support inventory tracking of IT Infrastructure assets. Participate in infrastructure projects such as patching, refreshes and upgrades. Follow IT policies, standards, and best practices. Participate in intern cohort activities including: professional development workshops, warehouse tours, and meetings with leadership. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards.
Requirements
- Currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Understanding of server operating systems, virtualization, network, and databases
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, or similar enterprise tools is a plus
- Technical support certifications (e.g., Azure, A+, Server+, CCNA, etc.) are a plus

Benefits
- Pay: You`ll earn $25.00 on an hourly basis.
- Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked.
