About The Position

Responsible for the design, implementation, and support of enterprise network systems, including local and wide area networks. Ensures reliable performance of data, voice, video, and wireless networks through installation, configuration, monitoring, security maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation. Leads and supports network projects, assists with IP administration and third-party software, and participates on cross-functional teams. Requires access to confidential information and participation in on-call support.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree (AA or AS) from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related field and one (1) year of experience in network design, implementation, and support required
An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Ability to estimate level of effort and time required to complete tasks
Ability to complete assignments within established timelines
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCDA)
BICSI certifications (e.g., RCDD, TPM)
Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certifications
Hands-on experience with: Router and switch network hardware and operating systems
Firewalls and wireless network architectures
Location services and VoIP systems
Access control technologies (e.g., Cisco products, ACS, TACACS, VPN)
Network management, monitoring, and support tools (e.g., CiscoWorks, NimBUS, Statseeker, SolarWinds, network protocol analyzers)
Familiarity with (plus): AirMagnet
Juniper firewalls
RADIUS
AeroScout RFID architectures
UNIX and Microsoft operating systems
