Consider joining the Duke Energy team, where you'll find a friendly work environment, opportunities for growth and development, recognition for your work, and competitive pay and benefits. iGrid is developing cutting‑edge, innovative applications on AWS that are transforming the utility industry. Our products help business partners anticipate future energy demand, identify grid upgrade needs, and advance data‑driven investment plans—strengthening grid resiliency and accelerating the integration of renewable energy. We are seeking an IT Software Engineer who wants to build meaningful, modern cloud solutions and contribute to the future of the electric grid. What you’ll do You’ll engineer cloud‑native solutions across the full stack, from backend services and data pipelines to intuitive front‑end experiences, all of which support the analytics and decision‑making that power our grid‑modernization mission. Day to day, you’ll apply modern engineering practices—Agile, automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, observability, and secure‑by‑design—to deliver high‑quality software, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve performance and reliability in production. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, data engineers, and grid SMEs to convert real operational challenges into elegant, maintainable solutions that make a visible difference for our customers and communities. Our stack We build on a broad set of AWS services—S3, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch (and more)—choosing the right tools for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency. Impact that matters (cleaner, more reliable energy), a collaborative engineering culture, and meaningful problems at scale—where your code ships, runs in production, and directly advances our strategy. If you’re passionate about cloud engineering, driven by continuous improvement, and ready to work on software that truly matters, we’d love to meet you. Apply now to join iGrid and help build the future of clean, reliable energy.
