About The Position

We’re looking for a System Administrator with a background in desktop support and system administration, and a demonstrated understanding of basic networking concepts to help us manage physical and virtualized servers, using Active Directory Domain Services, Domain Name Service (DNS), Group Policy Management, and File Servers, and the infrastructure that connects them. As a System Administrator on our project, you’ll ensure the current desktop, server, and network infrastructure is secure, functional, and available using tools like event viewer or other Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) to address errors, warnings, and peculiar activity. This is so we can help modernize and optimize intelligence capabilities of the United States Army to meet the nation’s demands. You’ll provide customer insight and improve the infrastructure by monitoring system performance, using the latest technologies available, updating and patching critical systems, and providing configuration management. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset in areas like PowerShell scripting, cloud computing, network services, and cybersecurity. Requirements

  • Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, or 2022 administration in IT environments
  • Knowledge of Active Directory TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy Management
  • Knowledge of fiber optics and copper cable management
  • Ability to troubleshoot and monitor network and system performance, availability, and security using native tools, such as Event Viewer, Performance Monitor, and Task Scheduler
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing VMWare or other virtualization platforms
  • Ability to apply updates, patches, and configuration changes in compliance with IT policies and change management processes
  • Ability to maintain and optimize file servers, print services, and related access permissions
  • Ability to collaborate with security teams to ensure systems and network devices meet compliance and vulnerability remediation requirements
  • Ability to document processes, configurations, and scripts to support operational transparency and knowledge sharing
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT field
  • Information Assurance Technician Level III Certification
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional Certification
