Fisher Dynamics is currently seeking Janitors for our Harper Woods, MI facility. This position is responsible for for the general housekeeping and cleanliness of the facilities. The department is structured as a formal team and requires the ability to work within the team.

Requirements

• One year or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of SDS sheets, blood borne pathogens, and proper disposal of related hazardous substances
• Ability to follow established procedures
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
• Knowledge of IATF16949 quality standards and ISO14001
• Independent judgment
• Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees
• Computer literacy skills include the ability to perform basic data entry and to operate visual ‘touch screen’ display panels
• Math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks are required
• Ability to work effectively with people
• Safety glasses, steel toed shoes, and hearing protection required. Other safety equipment required on an as needed basis.

Job requires very frequent visual effort and concentration, and the ability to move throughout the plant, including second story areas. Must be able to identify colors for purposes of executing machine and equipment repairs. The ability to lift 40 pounds is required.

Responsibilities

• Restroom(s): Clean & Sanitize all surfaces: Sinks, mirrors, faucets, toilets, partition doors, floors, trash cans, paper towel dispensers, tissue dispensers, walls underneath dispensers Empty feminine product receptacles and restock bags as necessary Stock paper towel and tissue dispensers Empty trash cans
• Office(s): Clean interior and exterior of all: Cabinet doors Bathroom doors Glass Entrance & exit doors Wipe down: First Aid Cabinet Fire Extinguisher Cases Dust the top of partitions Vacuum all carpeting Empty and wipe down trash cans Clean and Sanitize sinks, countertops, tables, inside and outside of microwaves in the kitchen area(s)
• Breakroom: Clean & Sanitize: Sinks Countertops Lunch Tables Marketplace counters Exterior of trash cans Exterior of lockers Entrance and exit doors Interior and exterior of glass Microwaves (inside and outside, including shelves) Floors Interior and exterior of refrigerator doors Exterior of paper towel dispenser(s) Stock paper towel dispenser(s) Empty Trash
• Saturday Duties: Clean inside of refrigerator(s) in breakroom Wipe down trash cans on production floor Mop in between machines on the production floor
• Additional Duties: Inspect gondolas for trash, notify leadership if they need to be cleaned Clean and sanitize water stations Change mop water prior to cleaning TeamFisher Verify janitorial carts are neat and orderly at the end of shift Thoroughly rinse out mop buckets Tighten trash bags on the rim of all trash cans Inspect all bathrooms and breakroom at the end of breaks/lunch Clean-up of exterior grounds as required Special cleaning projects as assigned
