About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our accounting team within a fast-paced title insurance company. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, including reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, premium remittance, and financial reporting tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working with both standard accounting processes and industry-specific workflows.

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
0–2 years of accounting experience; title, escrow, or insurance industry experience a plus.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a deadline‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank account reconciliations, including escrow and operating accounts.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Support preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages.
Process title insurance premiums, remittances, and underwriter reporting.
Maintain accurate and organized transactional and audit records.
Assist with closing files, reviewing disbursements, and validating balances.
Help ensure compliance with state regulations and industry-specific accounting standards.
Work collaboratively with escrow officers, processors, and management to resolve discrepancies.
Perform general ledger entries and assist with month-end close.
Provide administrative accounting support as needed.
