About The Position

We are looking for a Junior Cloud & GenAI Engineer – Amazon Connect Digital to join our Consumer Experience – Digital Channels team. This is an entry-level, hands-on engineering role focused on supporting cloud-native digital contact center solutions and Generative AI–driven customer experiences across chat, chatbot, SMS, email, and WhatsApp channels. The role offers an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers to build strong foundations in AWS Cloud, Amazon Connect Digital, and GenAI technologies, while working closely with senior architects and delivery teams on real-world enterprise CX solutions.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in software engineering, cloud, or AI-related roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, Computer Applications, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of AWS Cloud fundamentals
  • Foundational knowledge of Generative AI, LLM concepts, and prompt engineering
  • Programming experience in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and basic web integrations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong learning mindset and eagerness to grow in cloud, contact center, and AI technologies

Responsibilities

  • Assist in configuring and supporting Amazon Connect Digital chat, routing, self-service flows, and omni-channel customer journeys
  • Support development and enhancement of chatbots, conversational workflows, and digital CX solutions across chat, SMS, email, and WhatsApp
  • Work with AWS cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, EventBridge) to build and support backend services and integrations
  • Assist in developing Generative AI features using Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, AgentCore, Strands, and OpenAI APIs under senior guidance
  • Support prompt engineering, RAG workflows, AI orchestration, and conversational design for customer and agent-facing use cases
  • Help integrate digital platforms with CRM systems, analytics pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Participate in testing, troubleshooting, documentation, CI/CD support, and production releases, following engineering and quality standards
