We are looking for a Junior Fleet Technician who supports the Fleet team by assisting in the inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of company vehicles and equipment. The Junior Fleet Technician helps ensure fleet safety, reliability, and reduced vehicle downtime while developing technical skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
  • 1–3 years of fleet or vehicle maintenance experience preferred (entry-level candidates welcome)
  • Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle systems, tools, and shop equipment
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn maintenance software
  • Ability to provide personal hand tools (major diagnostic equipment provided)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • technical training preferred
  • 1–3 years of fleet or vehicle maintenance experience preferred (entry-level candidates welcome)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preventive maintenance inspections on tractors, trailers, and company vehicles.
  • Support commercial vehicle inspections in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of engines, brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and lift-gate systems.
  • Address driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with road-call repairs and scheduled maintenance as needed.
  • Document all work performed using the company work order system.
  • Learn diagnostic procedures and manufacturer repair standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintenance guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development.
