About The Position

As our Junior Systems Administrator, you’ll bring your expertise and love of tech to wrangle IT requests, manage hardware projects, and troubleshoot the infrastructure that keeps us moving. You’ll be the frontline of our tech support while helping us build a more robust, reliable environment. Sounds heavenly, doesn’t it?

Requirements

  • 1+ years of providing IT support experience or an AA/Technical Certificate in lieu of experience
  • Technical knowledge of at least one major Operating System: MacOS, Windows, or Linux
  • Proven experience in Help Desk support and customer service
  • Technical knowledge of basic networking fundamentals is a MUST
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and grasp complex technical concepts
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, M365, and Active Directory administration
  • Ability to provide ad-hoc user training to help the team master internal tools and software
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate workflows across departments
  • Dependable with the initiative to work collaboratively and with a high sense of urgency
  • Proactive, independent problem solver who knows how to find answers autonomously (Can you google a question?)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools like Jamf or Microsoft Intune is a BIG plus
  • Mad bonus points if you have CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Security+ certifications
  • Driven by the impact of the work and a passion for building reliable systems
  • Bonus points for experience with Figma management, technical writing, or root cause analysis
  • Thrives on giving and receiving feedback to fuel personal and professional growth

Responsibilities

  • Act as the bridge between end-users and senior support
  • Triage incoming IT requests to ensure efficient routing and resolution
  • Manage user lifecycles in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace, including new hire onboarding
  • Execute the hardware lifecycle from procurement and inventory to imaging and deployment
  • Install and configure office-wide software and hardware while managing licenses and upgrade schedules
  • Maintain technical documentation, "Self-Service" guides, and internal knowledge base articles
  • Monitor and troubleshoot LAN, VPN, and network connectivity to ensure uninterrupted workflows
  • Manage personal ticket queues with a focus on responsiveness and critical issue escalation
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive manual tasks through scripting and process improvement
  • This role is in the Systems team and will report directly to the Director of Systems
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
