UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS COMMUNITY COLLEGE AT MORRILTON Workforce and Community Education Job Description Kids College Summer Camps The Lead Instructor works under supervision of the Director of Workforce and Community Education and is responsible for directing instructional and recreational activities involving participants in Kid’s College. This position is governed by institution policy. Job duties and responsibilities include:

Requirements

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Certified Bachelor’s degree with knowledge of subject matter being taught, knowledge of educational planning and teaching techniques that are age-appropriate for the participants.
  • Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of the Chancellor.
  • The successful candidate must have a commitment to working cooperatively with all campus personnel to fulfill the Mission of UACCM, and have the ability to deliver quality customer services.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment background check.
  • A criminal conviction or arrest pending adjudication alone shall not disqualify an applicant in the absence of a relationship to the requirements of the position.
  • Background check information will be used in a confidential, non-discriminatory manner consistent with state and federal law.

Responsibilities

  • Developing lesson plans and programs used to teach school-aged children basic social and educational skills through age appropriate activities.
  • Instructing children in the development of specific potentials incorporating various educational topics to promote individual progress for social and intellectual attainment.
  • Providing personal care for children as needed by adhering to the health and safety regulations as set forth by the facility, state, and accrediting agencies.
  • Maintaining logs, schedules, and records pertaining to the activities and development of the children.
  • Supervising recreational and special activities and providing guidance and assistance to subordinates assisting with activities.
  • Cleaning classrooms and recreational areas used during daily activities.
  • Requesting school supplies needed for instructional and recreational use.
  • Greeting parents, guardians, and others visiting Kid’s College.
  • Performing related responsibilities as required or assigned.
