About The Position

The nursing faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned didactic lectures, lab, and clinical rotations in maternal-child health/pediatrics and elder/medical-surgical nursing. Other responsibilities include the coordination of outpatient pediatric health experiences, lab, and simulation instruction. Nursing faculty members participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum and other activities pertinent to program accreditation. Faculty serve as advisors to nursing students and are active members of assigned College committees.

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing, with a willingness to enroll in and obtain a master’s degree in nursing
• Unencumbered Maine RN license
• 3–5 years of experience in the practice of maternal-child/pediatric/OB nursing and medical surgical and/or long-term care nursing.
• Demonstrated professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative work style are essential.
• The applicant must meet clinical facility immunization requirements.
