About The Position

The Supervisor Lab Support Services supervises the department by coordinating workflows related to all aspects of laboratory support services to include processing, phlebotomy, specimen transport, supply distribution, patient registration, and customer service. They ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (required)
  • 5 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting (required)
  • If supervising phlebotomy, 3 years phlebotomy experience (required)

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes working knowledge of procedures and theories in all areas of responsibilities.
  • Hires, onboards, and administers disciplinary actions of staff as needed.
  • Completes schedule and manages timekeeping.
  • Implements policies and procedures as relates to specific area.
  • Oversees training and orientation of staff.
  • Maintains standards of accreditation for their area.
  • Performs regular discussion on priorities and performance to staff via touch bases, check-ins, etc.
