The Laboratory Manager is responsible for providing Technical and Administrative support to ongoing Technical Services Operations at Thatcher Company of California.

Requirements

• Must be able to provide proof of employment eligibility.
• BS/MS in Chemistry or related field or relevant experience.
• Minimum of three years of laboratory experience.
• Successful candidates will have an experience-based knowledge of laboratory operations, chemical principles, chemical manufacturing processes, and chemical plant operations.
• Broad knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• Specialization in analytical chemistry preferred.
• Management experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide all testing, batch approval and product diagnostics support for TCFLD operations.
• General laboratory housekeeping
• Maintenance of laboratory consumable inventory
• Management of incoming samples
• Prepare and issue operations production paperwork as needed to support Production Planning.
• Serve as on-site liaison between CA and Thatcher Company of Utah R&D/Technical Services teams.
• Data Entry (ERP, LIMS)
• Management of Technical Services and Production document archives.
• Create and issue customer-facing product collaterals (CoAs, CoCs, Labels, Product Specifications, etc.) as required by customers.
• Serve as plant QC staff member for inspection and approvals of plant equipment and finished products as required by production paperwork.
