The Landscape Architecture and Planning team at GBA is looking for highly motivated, goal oriented individuals, who are interested in learning new skills to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment focused on meaningful design on a variety of public and private projects. The 2025 studio portfolio includes multiple parks and recreation, aquatics, community planning, green stormwater solutions, streetscape design, and large-scale development projects. Our work is focused within Midwest with focused efforts in Kansas City, St. Louis and Austin rooted in a deep understanding of innovation, integrity and teamwork. You will be integrated into a studio environment alongside architects, engineers, and surveyors where you will be immersed in planning, design and construction observation project types. Requirements

  • Entry level to 5+ years of professional office experience.
  • BLA and/or MLA in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university program.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Civil3D, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino and Enscape is preferred.
  • Detail oriented with interest in working through various phases of the design process from planning and 3D graphics to design and construction detailing.

Responsibilities

  • Support site development projects by preparing landscape plans and construction documents under the direction of senior staff.
  • Assisting with site layout, planting and hardscape design, landscape calculations, and coordination with civil engineering plans.
  • Preparing CAD-based drawings, responding to jurisdictional comments, and supporting entitlement and construction-phase activities.
  • Understanding of site development processes, landscape codes, and construction documentation, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
