Job Summary: The Landscaping Technician directly reports to the Repair and Maintenance Manager. In this position, you will work with a team to make sure that NOC grounds are maintained and meet the needs of the user at all campus operations and staff housing properties. NOC Maintenance and Repair employees must have a positive attitude when interacting with guests, contract service providers, and fellow staff members. The ideal candidate will have experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, and seasonal plant care, with a strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship. This is a Full-Time, Seasonal position with flexible scheduling based on seasonal needs. Seasonal from April 1st to October 31st.

Requirements

  • Previous landscaping or groundskeeping experience preferred; mountain or resort experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plant care, soil management, and seasonal landscaping techniques.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including snow and heat.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to operate small machinery safely.
  • Basic knowledge of small engine repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintain lawns, gardens, trees, and shrubs across resort property. Perform mowing, trimming, weed eating, pruning, fertilizing, and irrigation tasks.
  • Seasonal Care: Plant and care for flowers, shrubs, and trees appropriate for mountain climates. Prepare grounds for seasonal changes, including snow removal and winterization. Maintain building rain gutters and rooftop leaf removal.
  • Hardscape & Trails: Maintain pathways, outdoor seating areas, and resort signage. Assist with erosion control and trail upkeep in public areas and around/to Lodging units.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate landscaping tools and machinery (mowers, trimmers, snow blowers, etc.). Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Implement sustainable landscaping practices. Monitor and manage irrigation systems to conserve water.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure resort grounds are visually appealing and safe for guests year-round. Respond promptly to landscaping-related service requests.
