About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide with experience in an Assisted Living facility to join our team. The Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring residents’ clothing, linens, and facility laundry are cleaned, handled properly, and returned in a timely manner while maintaining sanitation and infection control standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or senior care facility is required.
• Knowledge of infection control and proper laundry handling in healthcare settings.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Nice To Haves

• Experience handling resident personal laundry and facility linens
• Familiarity with healthcare or senior care laundry procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute residents’ clothing, linens, and facility laundry.
• Properly label and organize resident clothing to prevent loss or mix-ups.
• Follow infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures required in Assisted Living environments.
• Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or special care instructions.
• Operate and maintain commercial washers and dryers safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Communicate with staff regarding resident laundry needs or issues.
• Report equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to management.
