Develops and supports enterprise system solutions for Caterpillar IT applications and ERP/Digital transformation initiatives. Acts as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor across multiple business process workstreams, ensuring solution quality, compliance, and long‑term business value.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to lead change without direct authority.
  • 6+ years of progressive IT experience in application/API development and/or application/API support.
  • 6+ years of experience with enterprise platforms, including: Modern web applications (Java and/or .NET) Configure Price Quote UX PowerBI Reporting Snowflake SAP ERP IBM Mainframe Salesforce
  • 5+ years of experience with commerce platforms such as SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris.
  • 5+ years of integration experience using ETL or connectivity tools (e.g., DataStage, IIB, SnapLogic, Sterling Integrator, Apigee).
  • Experience supporting large‑scale ERP or digital transformation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME and trusted advisor for multiple enterprise business process workstreams.
  • Lead and participate in workshops to validate business requirements for the Order Navigation Experience (deployed on SAP commerce platform), ERP touchpoints, and dealer‑facing solutions.
  • Review and approve solution designs, including prototypes, configurations, testing, and documentation.
  • Validate process documentation delivered as part of enterprise template solutions.
  • Review and approve test plans and end‑user training materials for new releases and deployments.
  • Provide Level 4 case management support, partnering with IT suppliers on root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Ensure solutions comply with enterprise governance requirements, including cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, SOx, sustainability, and IT General Controls.
  • Provides functional direction, reviews deliverables, and contributes input to performance feedback for analysts and consultants.
  • Mentor business process analysts, digital product owners, and development/operations consultants.
